A BIOBANK FOR TRAINING

The Biobank for Training aims to promote the competitive development of professionals in biomedicine and healthcare research. To this end, the Biobank of the Public Health System of Andalusia offers various training programs and activities, including continuous training courses (face-to-face and on-line), curricular and extracurricular internships at different educational stages (vocational internships cycles, degree, postgraduate), professional stays and exchange programs. These offerings are aimed at providing the necessary skills, updating and/or expanding on existing knowledge, or the acquisition of new skills.

The training activities offered by the Biobank are primarily aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, teachers, and students of biosanitary professions. For these activities, we have highly specialized staff who have professional and teaching experience. The Biobank also develops theoretical and practical courses and offers professional stays at our centres.

Our training courses range from the management and organization of biobanks to training in the specific methodological competencies related to the portfolio of services that we offer.

In addition, the PHSA Biobank has established a program of guided tours for schools, groups, organizations, and companies who wish to learn about the Biobank’s activities and functions.

During our training programs, we promote the excellence of the services offered to citizens and highlight the fact that we encourage the adaptation of professionals to new and changing technological environments. Continuous training, knowledge management, and professional development are elements that bring the greatest added value to any organization, and of course, to a public health system of high quality.
